Luke Pile readies for some action

Centerfielder Luke Pile has done an amazing job at taking charge of the Limeport Bulls this season. He is now one of the elder statesmen of the team and helps the younger players. He is hitting .400 with 16 hits, 16 rbi, and 15 walks.
Pile's former manager Chris Parsell is amazed at Luke's transformation, "To see Luke Pile blossom before my eyes is outstanding. He has taken several player under his wing and gives them advice. He is also not afraid to scold his teammates when they don't put forth 100% effort. I am very proud of him".
Current coach Dylan Dando agrees, "Pile's leadership is an essential part of this teams success. He is a fiery player and that is contagious"

Bulls 2008 Tri-County Outlook

Taken from the Tricounty League Website...

2008 Comments: This could arguably be the best Bulls' team ever, talent-wise, so now it's up to this stable of studs to get the job done on the field and prove that they are the Lehigh Valley's best amateur baseball team, which is what the whispers are among the trees beyond the deep CF fence at Limeport...Returnees are limited, but include Jeff Kroboth (.355, 12 Runs), (Pat Lane .295, 10 RBI, 12 Runs), Luke Pile & Kenny Serfass on offense, while returning pitchers include Scott Stewart (4-2, 1.29 ERA, 45 Ks & 3 BBs), Ryan Gerber (4-2, 1.18 ERA, 43 Ks), Bill Hezel (3.21 ERA), Paul Smith (1-0, 0.70 ERA in limited action) & Ryan Walter (2.69 ERA in limited action)...But manager (and relentless recruiter) Dylan Dando has added a bevy of outstanding players which include Chris Tonte (middle INF from the University of Pittsburgh), Ken Spangenberg (INF from Arcadia), Ricky Rivera (recently of Oral Roberts University), Tim Schemel (INF, Keystone College), Andrew Heard (OF, DeSales) and Joe Bartolacci (C, Notre Dame HS)...New pitchers Steve Roberts (Lafayette College), Sean Heimpel (Georgia College), Carl Kleinhenn (William & Mary) & Jordan Waxman (Quakertown HS) will also get innings and round out the pitching staff...The Bulls have lost to Coplay two straight years in the semifinals, so that won't be an issue in 2008, but the Owls, Yankees & Fleetwings will have to be dealt with for the Bulls to get to the Promised Land...
